It's not a "brain disorder". I'm honestly starting to think neurotypicals have a brain disorder. They never learn. 🙄 Also, we are not uncaring. We have trouble reading neurotypicals . . .mostly because you guys never say what you mean or mean what you say. I have no problems communicating with neurodivergent people. So, in our view, neurotypicals don't communicate well. But because the world is designed for neurotypicals only, it is a disbility and we do need accommodations (mostly for sensory issues). We don 't suffer from autism. We suffer from not having equal rights and constantly being discriminated against by neurotypicals. Too bad there's no cure for neurotypicals.
Got diagnosed with AS at age 55 I guess that IS the end of that.
The background hiss at 2:40+ is too much. Had to stop the video.
Got burgers on your ass, painful condition
that high pitch hum in the background... ouch. But I totally understand what she's saying.
thnak you for your experience you are great human being

It is lonely and stressful having asperger's, believe me I know
I feal to many of people's emotions before they talk but I don't no what pressure I put on myself
I don’t have support, sometimes I am desperate and sometimes I feel ok. But being a mother of a 4 year old, feels painful; my brain is burning. I found peace when I’m discovering new intellectual hobbies but deep down I feel like I’m supposed to be a regulated mother, I feel like I’m losing the battle. My husband does not understand my condition.
It’s so interesting to see how they deal with this in other countries. I’m from the US and have been on several different medications for anxiety and depression since I was 11. However, no one ever considered Asperger’s syndrome. I had all the classic symptoms, but it was never addressed. This was in the early 90s, so maybe they just didn’t know at that time. I’m 39 now and still struggling to get my meds right. Being on MAOI drugs at such an early age fucks your brain up even worse. 🙃
Thank you for making this. It helps me understand my 3 year old more….I pray I will find a breakthrough and help her to communicate. She is a smart and sweet girl,& you somewhat remind me of her. I love how you explained the purpose of repetitive actions. That is something I have been struggling to understand. Thank you ❤
Awesome video, thank you so so much 🫶
I really enjoyed this, so interesting to hear such a mature response from someone so young! I agree, I think having ASD is actually pretty cool. It just would be better if we could share it with more people in our lives.
Excellent discussion. As someone who prefers to function alone, fits some of the schizoid characteristics, I guess I have always seen the pursuit of socializing as something that would take time away from more productive pursuits. I ask myself, where would I go to meet people? .. a Bar, a Church .. work associates? I just feel that I can achieve more, avoid alcohol and even viral illness by avoiding the social scene. I'm just not attracted to people I'd likely find in these places.
This is brilliant! Well done and thank you for making this.

There is no hope unless you have rich parents or something in your warped subhuman brain that can be applied to the capitalist system.
Best thing I've seen in a long time
High average to superior intelligence is not necessary to have Aspergers. You can have average and even low average intelligence and be an Aspie.
I hate sudden sounds, too. I strongly suspect my grandma was also on the spectrum, and she had a really LOUD doorbell. Every time we rang her doorbell, we would hear her yell out from being startled. 😆
Has anyone ever been dumped after telling a partner they're on the spectrum?
I really don't like the audio changes in this video.

Asperger syndrome is no longer used modern psychiatry 2020
I’m shit at maths lmaoo, but Spanish? <3
Interesting but unreadable
Hey can I get you all to support my project? I really need you guys support! We need to get this plan in action. Its a device to mediate police interactions with Aspies. I have a lawsuit in Federal Court that is very high profile; Please help support this cause. I am also trying to get a law passed for the sake of people like my son to make this project mandatory at the DMV'S in all 50 states! www.gofundme.com/f/cop-stop?+share-flow-1
I have Aspergers. I was diagnosed in 1991 at the age of 7. It makes my life difficult at times and sometimes I wish I never had it and it really makes me feel like I am going mad. It's not an easy thing to live with. Really messed me up when I was told the truth and that I had Aspergers when I was 11.
I got asperger's. Fuck
i like your hair
hi is this your channel? i have a channel too
hi am new subscriber. do you think i have aspergers?
asexual ? Not this Aspie lol
Aspergers didn't become well known until 1994, i was diagnosed ADD circa 1992 and was taught to mask symptoms. It all makes sense now.
Is this a Tool video?
Glad for be surrounded by so many like-minded individuals in this comment section , it's a social safe space where we are able to express our ideas to each other whilst being understood
I don't like public places but I love planes, is important to adapt in each situation; with my father and with the people, because at the end we are biopsychosocial, or we must be. Thank for your video 👍🏼
Apsies can read emotions if it is very obvious. We're socially clumsy and function different nuerologically which causes communication issues and sometimes conflict.
Because of my autism, I’m a 25-year-old loser with no drivers license, no job, and perhaps even no friends! I HATE IT!
I have been reading through these comments and they are really helping me to understand Asperger's. I have got a friend with Asperger's,but he is also younger in years than his age.so when I ask him questions he sometimes doesn't understand & even if he does understand he finds it hard to explain.i think he try to hard to fit in,so he is in denial aswell.but I really appreciate people commenting, because it helps me to understand more.its not just that there are diffrent levels of asperger's.i am just trying to understand.so if anyone can help me understand more then please comment. It's like sometimes he will show me a post on facebook & say look at that,or that's funny. So I will ask him if he understands the post, and he will say no.so I say if you don't understand something then tell me&i can explain.he is brilliant at remembering names of roads/streets.i try & help him but it's hard sometimes..so thankyou in advance for any help or suggestions.have a good day & takecare.
I can either listen to or watch this, but not both. Content is really accurate. Anybody else?
So is it normal to be fine after that sensory overload section? I wanted to cry.
This was interesting. I had no idea that Dan Aykroyd was an Aspie, or that NASA invented Velcro.
I'm an Aspie, and I don't experience the mixed-food symptoms. But otherwise, this was a simple way of explaining AS to the average neuro-typical.
Excuse me, but I must say as an Aspie, (& also an Introvert personality) that I find this video very impressionist.... sort of like Picasso's paintings.... which to me look very chaotic & dis-organized, & i found it very hard to decipher the actual understandings that the video was trying to endow us all with... the nearest comparison that I can think of, is imagine that you are sitting watching TV & you keep changing the channel... that's what it felt like to me.... I loved the blue man at the start, but for me the video spiraled down after that, & the music part in the middle about the sensory overload was just that...... it made me react physically by putting my hands up over my head, & that is not good.... I can understand the concept of what the video wanted to achieve, but in my view it failed....
Yeah, as an Aspie myself, I don’t like it being referred to as a “brain disorder”. It’s just a different way of being wired...different neuropathways, etc. Pea brained neurotypicals always seem to think we’re slow or even retarded. It’s exhausting trying to explain ASD to most people....ugh 🙄
I dont know if I believe this thing exist other then categorizing people that have an eccentric personality . I have been given all kinds of different labels since the age of 3 . You name it I had it . That was one of them
